What's On In Nagoya: July 10th Edition

Nagoya Live  July 10 to 16

Oktoberfest 2015 Hisayaodori Park in Sakae

Until July 20
Once again, our city is hosting their annual Oktoberfest in the middle of July. Normally, I’d spend the next few sentences taking the piss out of this faux pas. However, I am way too excited about all of the German beers, sausages and sauerkraut I will be devouring. I mean, look at my name. Ostrander sounds like a family of bratwürste makers. Plus, there will be an actual oompah band wearing lederhosen and performing traditional German folk music. This free festival is going on now at Hisayaodori Park and every night until next Sunday. Don’t miss it! Prost!

Friday July 10

Aya Kawakami and Takashi Terada at Sienna West Coast Dining

Sienna in Takaoka from 20:30 Nagoya’s only West Coast-inspired fine dining experience is no stranger to excellent pairings. They know which wine best compliments your entree, and which delicious dessert is the perfect dénouement to your meal. Now that they’re getting into the recent boom in local live music, the amazing guitar skills or Mr. Terada with the beautiful voice of Ms. Kawakami is an excellent pairing not to be missed.
