Priceless Edo-era items and documents belonging to the Owari Tokugawa family are available to the public only during this event. Most are designated as “Important Cultural Properties and National Treasures” by the Japanese government. The pictured armor belonged to Tokugawa Yoshinao, son of Ieyasu, and the first daimyo of the Owari Tokugawa, and one of the family’s most treasured possessions.
