The 59’s is renowned for its fun but intimate atmosphere, awesome staff and selection of beers.
Meat to bun ratio: Meat Meat Meat! 20% bun, 80% burger
The 59’s offers up probably one of the best burgers I’ve ever been able to get my hands on in Nagoya. I use the “hands” expression lightly though. I’ve eaten my number of immense hamburgers in my day and I’m not usually one to break out the expensive silverware when enjoying myself a burger. However for the first time ever I had to reach for a knife and fork when the chasm of the bun-to-burger ratio started to destabilize the meaty structural integrity. The 59’s BBQ Double Bacon Cheeseburger is an absolute monster — albeit an incredibly delicious and savory monster consisting of a whopping 150 grams of two giant beef patties (both topped with cheese, naturally) green onions, a mighty thick slice of bacon, lettuce and tomato added to the bottom for a little style of something different, and of course, some zesty and delectable BBQ sauce. For those in favor of using their hands when in the mood for a burger they might have to swallow their pride and take some utensils to this meaty mammoth.
The burger comes with a liberal amount of your All-American thinly cut fries, but after having devoured that beast of a burger you’d be struggling to find any space left in your stomach.
I would recommend this place because…
A wide variety of beers for the beer connoisseur and full menu of delicious edibles. Almost anyone can find something to eat. Lively music creates an energetic vibe for groups and mood lighting creates an intimate feel. Come with a date or just sit at the bar and enjoy the company of the tasty bar staff!
