Rice Planting in Iwamura Overnight tour
May 13 - 14, 2017

Enjoy this special two day tour in beautiful and historical Iwamura, part of Ena in Gifu. On the first day experience rice planting in a traditional way with the locals in an area rated as the most beautiful country view with rice paddy fields in Japan. You get to stay at a traditional inn with a thatched roof that has an irori fireplace in the middle of the tatami room. Enjoy dinner made with local products and drinks while chatting with other guests alongside the irori. After a lovely breakfast on the next day enjoy sightseeing in the centre of the historic castle town with traditional houses and shops or hiking up to the castle (it’s called the Machu Picchu of the Tokai area!).  Guidance in English available for two days.
