The Nagoya International Women’s Marathon is a race used to decide who will be eligible to participate in the Olympics and World Championships. It became a full marathon with over 15,000 women in 2012. Starting and finishing at Nagoya Dome, the marathon is known for its level course, passing by some of Nagoya’s most famous spots and for its easy-to-break records. Those not participating in the elite race are given 7 hours to complete the course, something even beginners can easily achieve. In fact the completion rate in 2016 was 97.5%.
