July 17, 2017

The Nagoya Port fireworks festival (featuring around 3,000 fireworks) is synonymous with summer at Nagoya Port and is held on the Umi no Hi (Ocean Day), a national holiday and the last day of the Ocean Day Nagoya Port Festival. Recommended viewing spots are Wharf 2 and 3 in front of the Port Building or on the green space south of the Port of Nagoya Aquarium. Fireworks will still be held in rain, but cancelled in the event of stormy weather. There are lots of events like stage performances, bon dancing and parades thought the day before the fireworks.
