As usual Daniel Ostrander delivers a rundown of what to do in Nag this weekend!

AUDITIONS at Shooters in Fushimi from 12:00
The Nagoya Players are holding open auditions on Saturday, March 24th for their next dinner theater show: “3 Guys, One Pub”, a comedy by local writer Adam Miller. In the vein of “The Office”, this show is a humorous, slice-of-life take on a mundane situation many of us have found ourselves in; three friends and their night out at a local bar. There are roles for 10 adults (7M, 3F). Actors are asked to prepare a short joke or humorous story for the audition, as well as perform cold readings from the script.
The Scrooges at Bar Ripple in Shinsakae from 19:00
For every local band that reaches even a modicum of success, there is a long line of ones who are left behind. It’s even more tragic when they’re as talented as Miggy & the Scrooges. Sadly, they are playing their final show on this night, so do NOT miss it. DOOR ¥1000
Rudy & My PeopleBand at Shooters in Fushimi from 20:00
My Morning Jacket at Club Quattro in Sakae from 18:30
Man, I love this band, and I was very pleased when they got some well-earned media attention with their last few albums. However, that very same attention also brought with it exuberant ticket prices. DOOR ¥6500
Razika at Apollo Theater in Shinsakae from 19:30
These four ladies from Norway have a very cool sound that falls somewhere between ska & 50s pop. BIG thanks to DJ Yamada & File-Under Records for bringing them to Japan for everyone’s ears to enjoy. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED DOOR ¥3500
