The drink: Kilkenny
Bartender Yohei certainly knows how to pour a Kilkenny. I didn’t know there was a certain way to pour it but much like Guinness it takes time and patience.
Back in 1982 when I was a cool college kid and the drinking age hadn’t changed my local began serving this new beer from Ireland that none of us had ever heard of. But once we discovered that it packed a whopping 4.3 % alcohol content all the money we used to spend buying tofu and keeping our mohawks tinted red went to quaffing jug after jug of this stuff. No “pouring” was ever involved. Now Elephant’s Nest has it on tap so if you are a fiend for the red ale you know where to find it!
