Hamburger and Cafe Louis: Mozzarella Cheese Burger

Justin Fiedler

While shopping at Tokyu Hands or Takashimaya in Nagoya, the conveniently-located Hamburger and Café Louis can be found on the 8th floor of Nagoya station. Louis’ burgers are made from 100% grilled Australian beef with a sesame bun and come with a set of fries. Naturally, they’ve got your standard burger with the option of thick juicy slices of cheddar cheese and bacon. Wondering if you can have yourself an avocado burger? Of course you can! Louis offers two unique burgers that you’d be hard-pressed to find anywhere else in Nagoya. One is their Deluxe Burger which includes not only bacon, cheese, and avocado, but also a special sauce made from a seed found only in the Akita prefecture of Japan. The second – my personal favorite – is one that is seductively wrapped in a cheese that sets my middle American sensibilities all a tingle: mozzarella! Yes, Louis’ mozzarella burger will make your tongue dance with delight!

Also, would there be a child or vegetarian in your midst? (Yes, we’re implying that all vegetarians are children.) No worries! They’ve got some delicious non-meat items to tickle your fancy. While at Nagoya station there is no doubt something for everyone to enjoy at Hamburger and Café Louis.

Vital Statistics:
Meat: Only the best Australian beef for this burger, 150 grams
Bun: Toasted sesame buns that barely contain the onslaught of thick bacon and generous helping of avocado
Fries: Comes with an admittedly small portion of fries, but the Deluxe will not leave you wanting.
Condiments: Topped with lettuce, tomato, onion with pickle on the side. The Deluxe edition comes with their special sauce and the rest have mayo, mustard available on request Cheddar or Mozzarella, choose your fighter, or tag team them up!
Epic Win: The avocado, mayo, and mozzarella flavor absolutely pops!
Dr. Seuss Would… eat this in a tree, with a dray of squirrels, I’d dine on three!
