Cosplay 2016: Nishiki-dori Red Carpet Parade

The road between Sunshine Sakae and the Nagoya International Hotel will be blocked while the representative cosplayers from 30 countries and regions parade on a red carpet on Nishiki street. In addition, a group of Japanese cosplayers dressed as feudal warlords and their princesses will march on the red carpet aiming to promote international exchange through cosplayers.

The mayor of Nagoya, Takashi Kawamura and the governor of Aichi, Hideaki Omura showed up dressed as Muneharu Tokugawa, a historical lord so you may get to see them again this year. It’s a free event so anyone can go and see them walking.
