The International Community of Nagoya To Commemorate Events of March 11th, 2011
The international community of Nagoya will meet at the Hilton Nagoya on March 11, 2012 at 2 pm to commemorate the 1st anniversary of the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami.
The informal network of Japanese and foreign residents known as Supporting Japan, along with HOPE International Development Agency and the Hilton Nagoya combined their efforts shortly after the events of March 11th 2011 and assisted in coordinating the international community’s response to the needs of disaster victims in Tohoku.
Those active and interested in this endeavor will meet to report back to the community about what has been achieved and to account for the charitable donations that were targeted for the relief effort.
The schedule for the meeting is as follows:
1:30 Brief press availability
2:00 Reports from leaders of the various response efforts
2:46: A minute of silence will be observed to commemorate the moment the earthquake struck.
3:00 The meeting will be adjourned.
Time: Sunday March 11th from 1:30 to 3:00
