Burgers 2018: Waves’ Double Cheeseburger

Waves has two shops near Nagoya Station and both have their own special qualities. The shop that I visited, in the basement floor of the Winc Aichi building, is so close to Nagoya Station, and does the best takeout ever; Waves pack your burgers into a nigh-indestructable cardboard box (that also keeps your burgers warm!) and seal it shut with the Waves sticker of approval.
The other shop a little bit further away is bright and open, and styled like an overseas cafe & bar to the point that you might just forget that you are in Japan. Of course, they still have the only-in-Japan all-you-can-drink deals!
Isn’t this just the prettiest burger ever? It tasted pretty good too. Balancing flavors in a burger is pretty hard but the Waves crew nailed this one like the professionals they are. They market their ingredients as high quality, and that’s the truth. Nothing tastes out of place or like “restaurant food”. Waves burgers are a perfect combination of Japanese zen and western flavors. Match ’em up with some draft craft beers from the “Tap Marche”. They change the vareties every so often so be sure to visit and check them out.
