You have one last chance to catch the coolest event of the 2013 Aichi Triennale!
Due to the huge success of their first event on August 11th, The Aichi Triennale is holding a carnival style parade once again before everything ends this month. The”Song of the Sun” , a new type of parade performance will be held Saturday October 19th. The theme is the revival of Japan from the Tohoku earthquake in 2011 and it utilizes the phoenix as a symbol of revival – the story of birth, death and re-birth.
The parade starts from Aichi Art Centre at 15:30,and will proceed down Nishiki dori and finish at Chojyu Machi at 16:30. There will be a Japanese drum performance at the beginning of the parade route which should be pretty impressive. Be sure not to miss it. The next Triennale isn’t until 2016!
